It's A Plane!
7/3/03 Imagine that! Just before 6 p.m. this evening a plane lands
on the lake! It was moving to the far west end of the lake when we
realized that it was getting ready to take off. We managed to snap a
few photos. Here's a close-up!

Sailing!
4/30/03 Great sailing breezes this week! Check out our new page on
the O'Day Widgeon sailboat here. Our 1977
O'Day Widgeon sailboat was in the water as soon as it stopped rainy on the
weekend of April 12th.
It's Spring!
4/1/03 The last of the 20+ inches of ice was melted by the evening
of Saturday,
3/29! What a rough winter that was! It's great to
see the water again.
Ice Fishing!
3/1/03 It's an Ice Fishing day here on Lake Nipmuc!

A Funny Read!
2/22/03 It's a rainy weekend here on Lake Nipmuc. How about a little
light hearted reading? We don't particularly have anything against
PWCs but then again the following article from a few years ago was a great
read. We borrow this from
Cottage Living magazine and hope they don't mind. By the way,
PWC is short for Personal Water Craft. Enjoy.
The Ultimate PWC Repellant
Watching it snow!
2/18/03 A record 27.5 inches of snow at Logan airport.
2/8/03 Signups for the Kids'N Us summer camp are underway!
2/7/03 A lot of snow! Measurements on the ice (which was shoveled
of prior snowfall) showed that Lake Nipmuc received 8 to 8.25 inches of
snow.
Cross country Skiing!
1/29/03 The cross country skiing is great, especially after a dusting of snow.
The icy spots where the snow has been blown away are difficult.
It's
certainly a cold winter this year! The ice is 12 inches thick in
most places with the ice in the more shallow places being up to 18 inches
thick. At least that was the reports from the ice fisherman we
visited on Super Bowl Sunday.
The snow mobiles and very noisy tracked vehicles have been out on the
lake in force.
