Letter to the Editor at Milford Daily News was published. Rep Fernandes sent a nice thank you note to Shirley for recognizing him. He said,"What a great letter! Thank you and the entire association for the positive remarks. When I can be of any further service, please feel free to reach out to me anytime."

Shirley read the email from Bill Clougherty of Mass Highway. He said Benn Sherman from the BSC group has completed the drainage plan for the area on Rte 16. We are currently reviewing and discussing his findings with the DEP. Shirley will follow up with DEP if she doesn’t hear anything.

Discussed the potential impact on the Lake regarding Imperial’s plan to install a car wash on one of their sites. What would be in impact on draw down on the aquifer plus drainage?

·         Tammy Gilpatrick from Blackstone River Coalition tested 6 locations on Lake Nipmuc on May 15th. She was assisted by Shirley S. and Ileen M.. The parameters were temperature, Dissolved Oxygen, Oxygen saturation, Turbidity, Nitrate, Orthophosphate, Conductivity, and E coli. You can't draw conclusions from one result but Orthophosphates were high at Old Taft Ave. We will be testing monthly through November.

·         The BOH has Aquatic Technologies apply chemicals for weed control.

·         Goose committee – Two pairs of geese were spotted by Joan C’s area. An additional 3 swans were also seen. The geese nest on Christmas Island. There is a preventative method to put grease on the geese eggs so they don’t hatch. Missy at the BOH knows more about this.
