Lake Nipmuc Association Meeting

Thursday, March 5^th, 2009 at 7pm

Mendon Senior Center

·         Meeting opened at 7:15pm.

·         Minutes of February meeting  – minutes accepted as read

·         New membership update - will get an update at the next meeting

·         Treasurer’s report – will get an update at the next meeting

·         Stormwater Issue – nothing new to report at this time

·         Public Education

o        Dick Grady stopped by with an article on the history of the Lake

o        The next newsletter will be published at the end of April to early May. Articles will include water testing, COLAP, planters, and a history section.

o        The BRWA in collaboration with Mass Audubon will be sponsoring a series of workshops entitled “Greening Up Your Yard Naturally” to be held in Blackstone in March and Uxbridge and Northbridge in April. Michelle will send out details to members.

·         Lake Monitoring – water quality testing will start up again in the spring.

·         Other Business – The Board is looking for ideas for a fundraiser. Any suggestions are welcome.

·         Next Meeting - Thursday, April 2nd at 7pm at the Mendon Senior Center

·         Meeting adjourned at 8pm.
