Lake Nipmuc Association Meeting

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009 at 7pm

Mendon Senior Center

·         Meeting opened at 7:00pm.

·         Minutes of March meeting  – minutes accepted as read

·         New membership update – None this month

·         Treasurer’s report – Balance is $1,157.62

·         Stormwater Issue – There will be a public hearing on April 9^th at 7:45pm for Mass Highway to file for permit to remove sediment at 44 Uxbridge Road. MHD has assured the Association that it will restore the property to its natural condition. Michelle to send e-mail to members.

·         Public Education – newsletter will be drafted

·         Lake Monitoring – water quality testing will start up again in the spring, however, since funding has been cut, the BRC won’t be able to do so many parameters. Tammy G. will probably still test the Meadowbrook outlet, 8 Old Taft Ave., near Alicante’s for e-coli and phosphorus.

·         Discussed possible hand-pulling of water lilies. Need to map out areas that get overgrown. Maybe the Boy Scouts can help out with this.
