Lake Nipmuc Association Meeting

Thursday, September 4^th, 2009 at 7pm

Mendon Senior Center

·         Meeting opened at 7:00pm.

·         Minutes of July & August meeting  – Minutes accepted as read

·         New membership update  - Reminder from the Board to members to send in renewal dues. Joan C. suggested sending out notification the first week of January for all membership renewals.

·         Treasurer’s report – Ileen M. will report at the next meeting

  ·         Lake Monitoring

·         Ted K. and Mark R. headed up a purple loosestrife pull. There are still a few left over from last year’s efforts. They filled multiple bags. The effort will continue until all the Loosestrife is gone.

·         ACT will be at the next meeting to discuss a plan to eliminate or thin out the water lilies and bulrushes. There is also a lot of variable milfoil near Nipmuc Drive.

·         Education

o        Newsletter is on hold

·         Other Business :

Michelle W. has resigned from her position on the Board due to other obligations. Mark Riehl has been nominated to take over her position. Anyone else interested in running for Secretary should let the Board know.

Ice Out – Ted K. has been talking to the Association at Webster Lake to get an idea of how to run this fundraiser. He will have more information at the next meeting.
