Lake Nipmuc Association Meeting

Mendon Senior Center

·        Meeting opened at 7:00pm

·        Minutes of September Meeting - Minutes motioned to accept, seconded, and approved

·        Membership Update – Personal letter will be sent out December 1^st explaining what dues are used for. Letter will also state that dues are due January 1^st of each year. One new membership received.

·        Treasurer’s Report – There is a balance of $1117.33 available in the account. Treasurer’s report accepted.

·        Stormwater

o       The dredging of the Old Taft Ave. cove was done the first week of September. There were several loads of muck taken out.

o       Complaint of drainage pipe on Uxbridge Rd.

o       Look into designating a reduced salt area for the roads surrounding the lake.

·        Fundraising

o       Ice – Out

§         Come up with our own name for the event

§         Instead of putting some of the proceeds towards the education foundation we will put the money towards a summer education program incorporating the lake

§         Attraction will be put out at Ted’s

§         Ileen will work on tickets

§         Ted will work on technology aspect

§         Shirley will work on the character

o       Ice Fishing Derby

§         Will be held February 6^th or 7^th

§         Mark will be contacting companies for raffle prizes

·        Other Business

o       Mark Reil has been selected has replaced Michelle Walsh as secretary of the Lake Nipmuc Association

·        NEXT MEETING: Thursday, November 5^th at 7pm in the Mendon Senior Center
